Dr. Mohamed Obadah Mohamed Faisal Adi, Managing Director / Sharia Supervision – Al Hilal Bank, holds a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies from the United Arab Emirates University, (honors grade) in 1997, then a pre-master’s year from Al-Azhar University, College of Islamic and Arabic Studies in 1998. He obtained a PhD in Islamic studies from University of Wales (Lampeter) in UK in 2008.

Dr. Mohamed Obadah experience started as an Islamic Studies Teacher from 1997 to 2004. Then he worked as a head of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language Department at the same Institute from 2004 to 2008. After that, Dr. Mohamed moved to Al Hilal Bank as a Secretary of the Fatwa, Sharia Supervision and Sharia Research Authority from 2008 to 2013, gained extensive knowledge of Islamic banking, which enriching discussions and providing constructive and flexible modern legal solutions.

In 2013, Dr. Mohamed held the position of Head of the Sharia Supervisory Group until now, during which he gained extensive knowledge and experience in banking and executive management and led the team of Sharia Group to achieve the desired goals with the best standards.
